EAR TAXI FESTIVAL HOSTS LAUNCH EVENT
Chicago, IL (June 30, 2024) – The 2025 Ear Taxi Festival (ETF ‘25) leadership have announced plans for the next Ear Taxi Festival for Chicago in Fall 2025.
Performance Series Include
Taxi Performances: Ear Taxi Festival will accept proposals from artists and composers to present Taxi performances. The application portal opens October 14, 2024. Artists will also have the opportunity to apply for a micro-grant, providing financial support to commission a composer to write a new work for the performance.
Accent Performances: Accent Concerts provide inclusion, promotion, and advertising for performances beyond the Anchor, Composer Showcase, and Taxi performances. These performances will take place throughout Illinois from October 19 - 31, 2025.
Education & Professional Development Events: A mix of panel discussions, presentations, open rehearsals, and networking events to unite the city’s new music community and bolster the careers of Chicago’s artistic workforce.
New Music Chicago will host a special presentation event announcing anchor performance ensembles and unveiling the selected composers for the Composers Showcase.
