Patricia Morehead, composer/oboist, PhD Composition University of Chicago, BM Oboe New England Conservatory, diplomas Royal Toronto Conservatory, Paris Conservatory, and Siena Accademia Chigiana. An Associate Composer of the Canadian Music Centre, she has taught composition at Roosevelt University, Dominican University, Columbia College Chicago, and Merit School of Music. She was commissioned by the North Bay Symphony to compose a new symphonic work honoring the 250th anniversary of Ludwig van Beethoven. She is the recipient of more than 40 commissions by performers in Chicago and festivals abroad.
