Lisa Goethe-McGinn

 

According to the Chicago Sun Times, flutist Lisa Goethe-McGinn “presents a vast spectrum of color moving from raw to golden song.” Her career takes her from soloist to collaborative artist, improviser, teacher, clinician, to composer. She has performed with groups Cherchez la Femme, MAVerick Ensemble, and Ensemble Noamnesia. She regularly works with composers and has given numerous U.S. and world premieres. She is on the faculty of Columbia College Chicago, Old Town School South Loop, Chicago Center for Music Education, and has a home studio in the Chicago suburbs, where she lives with her family and two pugs.
